Update on Kat's work

Hi everyone!
It's been an age since I posted my work last so I thought I'd show you my two completed works from my Celtic Mythology series. I'm not working as often as I'd like to on this wonderful project as I have a one year old keeping me busy most of the time but I'm getting there slowly but surely! I hope you all like them and as always I would appreciate any comments/ feedback good or bad :)
Thanks a mill,
Kat xx

Carnival Themed Painting- Louise

I have been working on the carnival themed painting recently. It is still in its very early stages so it's hard to get an idea of what it will look like when its finished! Most of the painting will be a rollercoaster with a few carraiges of people on it. I will also include a Big Wheel, a Carousel and many other carnival related things! It will be very bright and colourful!

So thats all for now, if anyone has any feedback it would be very much appreciated! :)

Candyland Update - Louise

This is the almost completed version of the Candyland scene that I have been working on.
I have a few more details to add and then it will be finished.

I will update again soon with the fully completed version!

Collaborative paintings: Louise, Emily and Laura

With these paintings we had help from another artist, Laura Byrne.
We used some experimental painting techniques - paint rollers, wallpaper scrapers etc.. to create very colourful abstract images and one landscape painting.

We Started by Splashing different coloured paint on to the canvas.

Then we used rollers to spread the paint around, which caused the colours to mix and join up, creating abstract patterns.

We used the same technique for the landscape painting but refined it a bit more to make it look like a landscape scene. We were in a very secluded part of Mayo at the time so we were painting the view from the window of the house we were staying in.

We are continuing to work collaboratively on paintings and will update again soon!
